Apply for Local Byrne JAG Grant Funding by May 18

If you think you may have missed the deadline, the good news is you still have time to apply for local Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) funding. You have until May 18, 2009 to submit your application for funds that can be used to prevent and control crime and improve the criminal justice system.
In order to receive funds, you must submit your application to the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), notify your governing body for review 30 days prior to accepting the award and provide public notification via the newspaper or the web. After the 30-day review period, you are eligible to receive the funds from BJA. It’s really that easy.
